As Interim Managing Director of Guardian Procurement Care, Andy’s key focus is looking after Foodbuy’s clients in the Health and Care sectors.
With over £400M of managed spend across food, non-food and support services, Guardian Procurement Care comprises the EF-group business, the NHS Supply Chain Food team and several other large clients operating across the Care sector. The formation of Guardian Procurement Care signals Foodbuy’s future intent, investment and focus on Health and Cares and its desire to leverage its scale for the benefit of its clients.
Prior to this role, Andy was Chief Operating Officer of Foodbuy, where he led strategic alignment with Compass Group UK & Ireland, strengthening collaboration, client experience and supply chain performance.
Prior to joining Foodbuy, Andy spent five years leading the operations team within a Global Business Transformation programme across Compass Group. Additionally, he brings to Foodbuy extensive commercial, operational and strategic leadership experience having worked in a variety of roles in Compass, including as Business Director responsible for hot beverages across Compass UK, Operations Director in the Compass Healthcare sector and Marketing, Sales and Commercial Director of Selecta Group. He has also served as the Managing Director of a UK vending company and a coffee machine manufacturer.
Outside of work, Andy loves sports and can regularly be seen on the football pitch, golf course or out running. And now, with two grown-up daughters, there is also more time to travel.
