Foodbuy Group wins Social Impact & Diversity award at the 2025 Footprint Awards!

We are thrilled that Foodbuy Group has been recognised at the prestigious 2025 Footprint Awards, taking home the Social Impact and Diversity Award!

The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 22nd May at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London, celebrating excellence in sustainability across the foodservice and hospitality industry. This recognition marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to drive positive change through inclusive and responsible business practices.

The Footprint Awards are the only initiative to honour the achievements of companies in the area of sustainability and responsible business practice in the out-of-home sector. These awards are open to organisations at every stage in the food supply chain, from growers, producers, manufacturers, and distributors, through to all hospitality and foodservice operators in both public and private sectors, their suppliers and other stakeholders such as NGOs and specialist support services.

We are delighted to have won the social impact and diversity award for our ‘Pitch Social’ initiative - an innovative annual event designed to deliver social value and diversify Foodbuy Group’s supplier base.

The event gives social enterprises, B-Corps, minority-owned suppliers and other small to medium-sized enterprises a platform to access a multibillion-pound supply chain within the foodservice industry. These socially conscious suppliers are invited to pitch their business to a panel consisting of Foodbuy Group colleagues and clients, allowing them to showcase their exceptional work in their respective fields, with the opportunity to become listed as a Foodbuy Group supplier upon selection. If not selected, the supplier can undergo a 6-12-month mentorship programme with Foodbuy Group stakeholders.

This award not only celebrates the success of our ‘Pitch Social’ initiative but also reinforces our commitment to embedding sustainable practices at the heart of everything we do. By creating equitable opportunities for socially and environmentally responsible suppliers, we are actively contributing to a more inclusive, ethical, and conscious supply chain. Winning this award underscores our mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions to our clients, while continually striving to make a positive impact on both people and planet.
