Foodbuy Group sponsors Oxford Junior Chef of the Year competition for the third year

Last month a group of five Foodbuy Group colleagues took on the gruelling Duchenne Dash bike ride from London to Paris, raising over £5500 for our charity partner, Duchenne UK!
Covering 350km, the Duchenne Dash is a 24-hour bike ride from London to Paris. This year’s event, which started on Friday 16th May at Herne Hill, saw the team pass through some of the most rural areas of France before finishing at the Eiffel Tower. By taking part in the Duchenne Dash, they are doing something incredible: bringing hope to families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Duchenne UK is an inspirational charity working towards accelerating treatments and finding a cure for Duchenne muscular Dystrophy (DMD). As the leading DMD charity in the UK, they connect the best researchers the NHS and families.
DMD causes muscle weakness and wasting. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. It eventually affects all the muscles in the body, including the heart and lungs. It almost always affects boys and is typically diagnosed in childhood between the age of three and six.
